2012 Fellow

Chih-Chun Chia was selected as the first fellow of the J. Robert Beyster Computational Innovation Graduate Fellows Program. Chih-Chun was a Ph.D. candidate in the Computer Science and Engineering division of the Electrical Engineering and Computer Science department.  He was a research assistant in the Computational Biomarker Discovery and Clinical Inference Group, and was advised by Professors Zeeshan Syed and Satinder Singh. As a Beyster Fellow, Chih-Chun performed research to develop computational techniques that can leverage large physiological datasets to improve our understanding of major diseases.

Chih-Chun is currently a senior software engineer and technical lead with Google, Inc.  He has worked at Google since 2014, focusing on machine learning related research on products.
